How We Are Governed.
Green for Sustainability Initiative Trust is governed by a Board of seven appointed members who may serve up to two three-year terms. Board members bring a broad range of knowledge, experience and regional perspectives. Our Board is deeply committed to the well-being of the marginalized rural and per-urban communities in Zimbabwe, and their organizational oversight is reflective of this commitment.
The Green for Sustainability Initiative Trust Organizational Board meet on average 3 times a year. It decides on the overall strategy of the organization, decides, on the proposal of the operational team or secretariat, the allocation of the funds of the organization, and expresses its opinion on the conduct of the projects. The Green for Sustainability Initiative Trust Board plays oversight to the Secretariat and is assisted by the Green for Sustainability Initiative Trust Advisory Committees in their work.
The Secretariat is led by the Director who report to the Green for Sustainability Initiative Trust Board. The Director also receives feedback and technical advice from the Board and the Council. The Director is assisted by the Programs Officer, Research Innovations and Development Officer, Youth Engagement Officer, Finance and Human Resources Officer and the Communications Officer in managing and coordinating the day-to-day operations of the organization
